Egg Hunt

We had an Easter egg hunt on Friday and the kids (and friends galore) had a blast!! Lorne was the guest of honor (the Easter Bunny) Rylee didnt want anything to do with him (notice her arm that wont even touch his ear) He eventually took the head part of the costume off and showed her that it was him but she still would not get near him. She was crawling all over me like a frightened cat!
We had a great time stuffing our faces and playing & visiting with friends.
Thanks Lorne for sweating like a pig in that costume!
I had to mention Lorne was the bunny because.... (notice where his hand is!!)

So we went over to our neighbors house and the kids were playing basketball. For the very first time, Mitchell made a basket by himself, and then continued to do it over and over and over. He was SO proud of himself!
So tonight he was saying his prayers and at the end of the prayer he says " and thank you for letting me play at Drew's house and for making a whole bunch of baskets! Amen"
Its so funny and precious to hear our kids' thoughts out loud!
I love you buddy! I'm proud of you too!!!

We are BACK (I hope)

Well.... I'm really sorry that I am such a loser and haven't had any time to post anything on the blog lately, but I didn't think you would want a whole bunch of pictures of us all sick and laying around the house!
We have all (in exception to Lorne) have gone around the merry-go-round with sickness around here and I think (cross my fingers) we are finally on the brink of day light!!! YAY! So... hopefully SOON, I will find something interesting enough to photograph (I might have to dust the camera off though) to post to the blog! Hope everyone is doing great! Lorne and I still look at every one's blog as much as we can and we love to see what everyone is up to!

potty training blues :(

So I've been potty training Rylee now for a week and a 1/2 and she is perfect with going "pee pee" but refuses to do the other (#2) HELP ME!! I need some tips! She has only accomplished this 1 time (in the toilet) in 10 days and the other times have been in her pants. I've done SO much research which is only confusing me more! So if any of you could give me some tips....I would really appreciate it. She seems extremely scared to do it to the point where she is holding it in and making her poor little tummy sick! Every time she is out of my sight, with-in seconds, she has had an accident (again with the #2) I'm worried that she is going to hurt her intestines and such so any comments you could leave would be very appreciated!! Thanks!!

Obsessed with Dress-up Play!!!

So Rylee got a huge treasure box full of princess dresses and accessories of all sorts for Christmas. It has become her obsession to try on almost all of them EVERY DAY!!! Then she insists that I take pictures! She then proceeds to ask me to turn on "honey, honey" which means she wants to listen to the "Mamma Mia" soundtrack, and just dances forever!!!

New Year's Eve

We had an awesome New Year's Eve! We spent most of the evening playing Rock Band (well, Lorne did anyway!) We visited with family and freinds, ate TONS of yummy food, and rang in the New Year with a firework show!

"Magic Reindeer Food"

The kids were given some "Magic Reindeer Food" on Sunday at Church by the most wonderful lady!! They were told to sprinkle the food outside, on Christmas Eve so that the Reindeer would smell it and would know where to come! They had a blast and kept asking Lorne and I if they did a good enough job for the reindeer to smell it. The card attached to the food stated that the reindeer could smell it from 100 miles away!!.....Oh the simple joys of life!! :)

Mitchell's Acting Debut!!

Mitchell's pre-school class acted out the manger scene in a play this week! He was one of three shepherds. (His best buddy Drew was one as well...he's the one in the light blue) It was SO CUTE! They only had a couple of lines each and the rest of the play was all of them singing songs. I'm such a proud Mama!!

I came downstairs tonight and found Rylee asleep on Mitchell's shoulder. So CUTE!! He looked up at me and said "Mom, I've been holding Rylee's head so she can sleep"
